I downloaded a copy of Audacity audio processing program. It appears that I have also downloaded unwanted Adware.

Whenever I run IE I get a warning from Kaspersky.

I choose the “delete” option for each of the three files, but the warning returns next time I start IE. How do I clean out the Adware altogether?

1: Reboot your computer and log into Safe Mode with Networking.

Step: Reboot your computer. As the computer is booting but before Windows launches, tap the “F8 key” continuously which should bring up the “Windows Advanced Options Menu” as shown below. Use your arrow keys to highlight “Safe Mode with Networking” option and press Enter key.

2: Uninstall adware from Control Panel.

Windows Vista and Windows 7

  1. Click Start.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Click Uninstall a program.
  4. Remove the adware program.

Windows 8

  1. Move the mouse pointer to the lower-left corner of the screen.
  2. Right-click.
  3. Select Control Panel.
  4. Click Uninstall a program.
  5. Remove the adware program.

Windows XP

  1. Click Start.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. Uninstall the adware program.

3: Remove unwanted browser extensions from browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Select Settings from Google Chrome menu.
  2. Go to Settings and select Extension. Disable unwanted extensions

Internet Explorer

  1. Select Tools from Internet Explorer menu.
  2. Go to Manage add-on and go to Toolbar and Extension. Remove unwanted add-ons.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to Firefox menu from the top right.
  2. Select Add-on from the draw-down list and remove unwanted add-ons.

4: Show hidden files and folders.

a) open Control Panel from Start menu and search for Folder Options;


b) under View tab to tick Show hidden files and folders and non-tick Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) and then click OK;


c)click on the “Start” menu and then click on the “Search programs and files” box, Search for and delete these files created by Adware.JS.Znooser:


5: Open your Registry Editor and then find out the registry entries of xx virus to remove them (note: new registry entries are still made every month so far):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “[RANDOM]”
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “[RANDOM].exe”

6: Reset your IE

a) Open Internet Explorer. Click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.

b) In the Internet Options window click on the Advanced tab. Then click on the Restore Defaults button and then press OK.
